Awareness building on epidemics
Coastal Alleppey is notorious for contagious diseases and outbreak of epidemics. In the past few years alone hundreds died in these traditional fisherfolk inhabiting coastal belt. With the onset of rainy season this backward area is again under the grip of contagious diseases like Chikun gunea, Cholera, Viral fever and Dengue fever. Rising to the occasion Samhathi has launched emergency relief operations and massive awareness building programs.
